Wrapping up the Ergathon

This year’s Ergathon has been a smashing success thus far. With donations still coming in, we are getting close to hitting our goal! At this rate, this will be on par with our most successful Ergathon ever!
The organization for this fundraiser started way back in September and has truly been a team effort. This would not have been possible without your support- Thank you! It is also necessary to note the efforts of the Executive Board that went into creating the event this year; namely Grant, Vice Commodore, and Sasha, Treasurer. They both put in a considerable amount of time into creating a weekend that would the most successful for us. On the first day, we were able to be on Brown Field which meant there was a lot of foot traffic as people walked to the game. There was an open erg during some of the shifts which enabled some curious pedestrians to give erging a try.Not only does that give our team more exposure and in turn some cash donations, but also makes the scenery of two hour time slots less monotonous. Day two was chilly and calm. On that sub 50 degree morning we were positioned behind Bruff which gave us plenty of space. Now that the Ergathon is over, we are changing gears. As a team, we are now turning our attention to indoor training (and finals).dsc_0411
